Red Meters seeks a Mathematical Research Analyst to solve real-world physics challenges using mathematical techniques. Your Math / Data Science skill set and eagerness to learn will be instrumental in helping our engineering team understand and master the physical behaviour of our system. To accomplish this, you will design, propose and carry out scientific experiments alongside our installation team. You will analyze the data from these experiments and advise on paths of improvement.

Beyond this, you will also diagnose, analyze and design algorithms and data for future products and customer specific applications.

Responsibilities

  • Training & Testing accurate density models given our current hardware.
  • Design and automate experiments to verify performance of algorithm and hardware.
  • Access and storage of data.
  • Analysing, visualising and communicating insights from our data.
  • Maintaining a process to collect quality training data.
  • Assist in troubleshooting model drift and diagnostics.
  • Explore and develop new technologies as part of the core R&D team

Foundations

  • Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture (MSA)
  • Python development experience
  • Experience with Database Design
  • Experience with API Design
  • Knowledge of Endpoint Security tools and techniques
  • Understanding of Bus Protocols
  • Understanding of Cloud Architecture

Required Education / Experience

  • Able to query data using SQL, Python, R or equal.
  • Skill in Python or R preferred.
  • Strong problem solving skill set.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to describe complex topics in simple terminology.
  • Confer and collaborate with engineers and customers to solve problems.

Required Education / Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ of related experience in a Development Lead role
  • Must be permitted to work in the United States

Red Meters seeks a Sr. Backend Developer to take a seasoned and creative approach to backend architecture of a cloud-based software ecosystem. This will require a variety of skills and approaches to ensure robust, scalable, and supportable solutions. The Sr. Backend Developer will also help build a team of more junior-level backend and front-end developers as the company grows in the first quarter of 2021.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Programming in Python and C
  • Architect and implement features (OS, scalability, redundancy)
  • Use distributed system design to optimize communication
  • Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tools and processes
  • Compile, compute, analyze and present a variety of engineering data and test results as required.
  • Understanding of front-end code with which integration is required
  • Help identify talent, and participate in the recruitment of additional technical personnel
  • Work with product team to develop plans for quality, support, and scalability
